Serve this flavourful tart with a crisp mixed green salad and whole wheat roll to round out the meal.
To blanch fresh asparagus, add the spears to a large pot of boiling water. Cook, uncovered, 2 to 3 min. or until bright green. Drain, then immediately plunge the asparagus into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. When completely cooled, drain and pat dry.

This was absolutely amazing! Loved by everyone including the children. I did 'cheat' a little and used a frozen pie crust because it was what I had on hand. I did find I had to cook it an extra 10 minutes than what was suggested in the recipe but of course every oven varies a bit. I look forward to making this recipe again in the near future and take advantage of this seasonal vegetable.Thanks to Kraft Canada for an excellent recipe.
