  • Heat oil in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat. Add onions, herbs and lemon zest; stir. Cook 7 to 10 min. or until onions are lightly browned, stirring frequently. Spoon vegetable mixture into slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Add meat, in batches, to skillet; cook 5 to 8 min. or until evenly browned, stirring occasionally. Spoon into slow cooker. Add chopped vegetables and garlic; stir.
  • Mix remaining ingredients in skillet until blended; cook 3 to 5 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently. Pour into slow cooker; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 5 hours).


When serving adults, substitute dry white wine for the apple juice if desired.

New Orleans-Style Pork Stew

Substitute Heinz Yellow Mustard for 1/4 cup of the ketchup.

Serving Suggestion

Garnish with fresh sage or thyme before serving.
