Make It

  • Heat oven to 350°F.

  • Mix first 6 ingredients until well blended.

  • Pour over chicken in 13x9-inch baking dish; turn chicken to evenly coat both sides of each breast. Cover.

  • Bake 40 min. or until chicken is done (170ºF). Serve chicken topped with sauce and cilantro.

really good, my family prefers this to the jar sauce! I dice the chicken and do the recipe on the stove top and even add pieces of cauliflower.

I often eat authentic Indian food and although this had Indian flavours it definitely did not come close to the real butter chicken. Good enough as a low calorie imitation of butter chicken because it was still very tasty. I doubled up on the cayenne pepper.

This was very good, but there was a bit of taste missing to it, so i added some hot sauce. next time, i'll probably add more cumin and marsala.

This is a fantastic way to introduce some ethinic flavours into dinner. I actually make this by cutting up the chicken, then stir frying it in a fry pan. Then i add the sauce and let it simmer for 20 mins. So easy to make and so delicious! Even my very picky kids love it!

This dish was so nice and also so easy my 14year old son made it, he doubled the sauce mix as we like it with rice, it was so good he wants to make it for dinner tomorrow :)

I once made butter chicken from an indian cookbook and spent about 4 hours cooking -It was wonderful. I made this recipe and it was just as good but I spent only 15 mins in the kitchen. I am a weight watcher so I subbed Fat Free versions of Whip and Catalina and was able to eat as much as I liked (I liked a lot). The only thing I'd change is that there wasn't a ton of sauce left over and my hubby likes a bunch of it on his rice. I would double the sauce ingredients but leave the chicken amount the same. This is officially in our dinner rotation now. We loved it (and we're picky)

I made this tonight and added coconut milk, cut the chicken into bite size pieces and added tabasco for a bit of heat. i will definitely be making this again and will keep catalina dressing in the house just for this recipe.

Amazing recipe! This was definitely one of the BEST butter chicken dishes I have ever tasted - and I've tried a lot! My boyfriend, who is Indian, thought I used a paste to make it. He was very impressed. To the person who said it was "too runny": You're supposed to use the extra sauce it makes. I added it on top of my chicken and rice. It made it even more delicious!

February '12: I liked it. My husband didn't. I used light miracle whip and light catalina dressing. I cut the recipe in half. I put half of the mixture onto the chicken and put it together in a plastic bag overnight. Next time I will cut the chicken into bite sized pieces.

Tried this recipe and would not make it again. It was way too runny and had no taste. Have tried other indian recipes that turned out really good but this is definetly not a 'keeper'.

Didn't change one thing, except double sauce amount, it was so good. Just the right amount of spice!!! Easy, great for everyday or entertaining. It's a winner.

I've never written a review on here before but have made and loved many of the recipies. This chicken however has made itself into our regular rotation! So easy and quick. We also subbed by using calorie-wise mayo and catalina and you wouldn't know the difference. Wonderful flavour and not spicy at all...our 6 yr.old loved it and she doesn't like the spice of pepper.

My partner loves Indian food but I don't feel the same way. I tried this receipe and even made a back up for myself of something else. I was amazingly surprised of the taste. It was not too spicy and also very tasty. This is one to do again

I made this for a family dinner and it was a big hit. I used reduced fat Miracle Whip and calorie wise Catalina dressing and no one was any the wiser but we all had less fat. I would definitely make this again.

the taste isnt really like butter chicken but has similarties but its is a good dish none the less. it is much healthier option then butter chicken!!

Loved how easy It was to prepare this dish and that it was quite tasty. Had a bit more heat than I'd like (but that's just me), but hubby absolutely loved it and has already asked for it again!!
