  • Crust:

  • MELT butter. (microwave in 9 inch pie plate on HIGH power 40 to 60 seconds.) Stir in crumbs and sugar. Press into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes (OR microwave on HIGH power 2 to 3 minutes, rotating dish once.) Cool before filling.
  • Filling:

  • MELT chocolate and butter over hot water. Remove from heat and whisk in eggs, one at a time. Stir in corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Pour into crust. Bake at 325°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
  • SERVE warm or cooled to room temperature, topped with ice cream.

    Incredible!! I did not make the oreo crust, instead I used a store bought pie shell and I think this is why it was so good, you had a sweet, rich chocolate filling and a not-so-sweet crust. I have made this two days in a row now - my sister said "this is possibly the best dessert I have ever tasted." Excellent!
