The stores were closed and I didn't have caramels, so I used a nice quality caramel sundae topping instead. Very good and easy to squeeze out of the bottle!
didn't use all of the drizzle as it made it too rich
This was WONDERFUL but take only a small piece as it's very rich. I served it at a special party and I wish I had made two, everyone liked it that much.

holy moly! this cake was SOO delicious. I substited 1 cup of hot chocolate for the coffee and used semi-sweet choco instead and oh man it was amazing! I think its the best cake ive ever made/eaten! my whole family was saying it could be sold in any restaurant. Id kept well for a couple days too! I was having pieces on its 3rd and 4th day, just microwave it for 30 seconds and its as good as the first day!

This is a perfect recipe. It was super easy and absolutely delicious. Didn't need the caramel part. The chocolate cake was moist and wonderfully chocolatey!
Excellent. Planning on making again. I did not have the problem with cutting the cake although I did wait to pour the sauce over it, but the next day it was still easy to cut. My only mistake was to puncture the cake to the cake plate, I should not have gone so deep with the wooden spoon. Very easy to make, except removing the celophane from the carmels (most time consuming of the whole cake)!!

I waited to pour the carmel sauce over and into the cake, just before I served it..keeps the carmel soft and slightly warms the cake for serving!
Very tasty, but also difficult to cut. The caramel hardened so it was a vigorous jaw workout!
