If you don't have a double boiler, simply place a small metal bowl over pan of simmering water, being careful to not allow the water to touch bottom of bowl since that will cause the chocolate to seize.

Very easy to make - I melt my chocolate and butter in the microwave if I don't have time to use the double boiler method. I also cut back the sugar by one third so the frosting's not too sweet.
So easy to make and sooo good.
