I would have made the minute rice according to the box before I add it to the steak and veggies. The rice was too hard and crunchy.

Always looking for fast easy weeknight meals. This was a definite hit. Took about 30 minutes from start to table. I used a whole bag of oriental veggies, substituted the beef for chicken and used 2 cups of chicken stock. I've made this twice now, and each time my 14 year old son eats 2 heaping plate fulls. I'm going to try it with several different meat ingredients, it seems like it would be very versatile ie shrimp, beef, pork. This will definitely be on our dinner menu every week.

I made a few changes. I added chicken instead of beef. I used chicken fried rice instead of regular rice. I changed the sauce to california tomato and basil. Then I added a little bit of garlic powder, red pepper flakes and curry. I used all the same amounts as the recipe for everything else. This was amazing!
This is a family favourite. My 21-month-old daughter loves it because the pieces are small and there's the sweetness of the oranges. My husband loves it because there's steak. And I like it because it's easy to prepare on a weeknight and it features almost all the food groups.
I've made this dish approx. 10 times and it is always a hit. I use chicken mostly but I have used pork and beef...excellent quick healthy meal for my family. Thanks for the receipe!
This was quick and easy and light tasting. I made it without the beef and added peanuts and a little cracked pepper, it was great!
