Rinse Brussels sprouts in cold water to remove any dust or dirt. Use paring knife to cut tips off stem ends; discard tips. Remove any outer leaves marked with blemishes. Don't worry if a few other leaves fall off when the sprouts are cut in half. Just bake them with the halved Brussels sprouts.
