  • Heat greased barbecue to medium heat.
  • Mix meat, bread crumbs, HP Sauce, egg and 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce just until blended; shape into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  • Place onions on large sheet of heavy-duty foil sprayed with cooking spray. Drizzle with 1/4 cup barbecue sauce and remaining Worcestershire sauce; mix lightly. Fold to make packet.
  • Place foil packet, beef patties and peameal bacon on barbecue grate. Grill patties and bacon 4 min. on each side. Brush evenly with half the remaining barbecue sauce. Grill 2 to 4 min. or until burgers are done, turning and brushing burgers and bacon occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce. Top burgers with Kraft Singles and add buns, cut sides down, to barbecue. Grill 1 min. or until Singles are melted and buns are lightly toasted.
  • Cut several slits in foil before carefully opening packet. Fill buns with cheeseburgers, peameal bacon and onions.

Keeping it Safe

Always wash hands after handling raw meat. Never place cooked food on the same platter that the raw food was placed on. Use clean plates for cooked meats. Discard any leftover barbecue sauce that has been in contact with raw meat, fish or poultry.
