  • Heat coconut oil in Dutch oven or small stockpot on medium-high heat. Add yellow onions; cook 3 min., stirring frequently. Stir in garlic; cook and stir 1 min. Add carrots and ginger; cook 4 min., stirring frequently.
  • Add lentils, vegetable broth and water; stir. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 30 min. or until carrots and lentils are tender. Add cream cheese product and miso paste; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted, stirring constantly.
  • Blend soup, in batches, in blender until smooth, returning each puréed batch to Dutch oven. Cook additional 5 min.or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, cook soba noodles in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt. Drain noodles; rinse lightly. Return noodles to saucepan. Add green onions, sesame seed and sesame oil; mix lightly.
  • Serve soup topped with soba noodle mixture.

How to Toast the Sesame Seed

Cook seeds in skillet on medium-low heat 2 to 3 min. or until lightly browned, stirring frequently.
