  • Remove outer green leaves from cauliflower. Cut off stem to make it level with base of cauliflower. Cut 1/2-inch-deep "X" in base; place, top-side up, in large microwaveable bowl. Add water; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 10 min. or until cauliflower is tender. Let stand, covered, 5 min.
  • Meanwhile, whisk Miracle Whip and flour in medium microwaveable bowl until well blended. Gradually whisk in milk. Microwave 3 to 4 min. or until thickened, stirring after 2 min. Add shredded cheese; stir until melted.
  • Heat broiler. Transfer cauliflower, top-side up, to shallow casserole dish; top with cheese sauce. Mix Parmesan and bread crumbs; sprinkle over cauliflower. Broil 2 to 3 min. or until topping is lightly browned.

How to Clean Cauliflower

To wash the cauliflower, soak the head in ice water, floret-sides down.

Substitute 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard for the shredded cheese.

Special Extra

Garnish with OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits, chopped green onions or chopped fresh parsley just before serving.

The best part of this is the easy cheese sauce in the microwave. Use a little more cheese and you don't need the breadcrumbs. You can substitute mayonnaise for the miracle whip. Don't worry about the sauce congealing you can put it back in the microwave for 30 sec at a time and whisk to make it smooth again. Makes a great sauce for macaroni cheese. Make a easy side dish by cooking the cauliflower cut normally in pieces.

I didn't like the sweetness in this - it didn't jive with the cauliflower in my opinion. But my hubby and kids ate it up with no complaining!
