  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, brown meat in large deep skillet or Dutch oven on medium-high heat; drain. Add carrots and onions; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Drain pasta. Add to meat mixture with milk, peas and Cheez Whiz; stir. Simmer on medium-low heat 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • Top with shredded cheese.

Substitute

Substitute frozen mixed vegetables or broccoli florets for the peas.

Special Extra

Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley just before serving.

    pretty good - need to read the recipe more closely - thought the sauce was too thick (i forgot the milk), so i added 1/2 cup herb & garlic cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup extra cheez whiz. so yummy!

    I didn't have green onions or the peas so I used one regular onion and a frozen vegetable mix, added twice as much cheez whiz and it was delicious!!!
