  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Heat dressing in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until tender. Stir in spinach; cook 2 to 3 min. or until liquid is evaporated, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
  • Cut thin slice off top of each bun; hollow out inside, leaving 3/4-inch-thick shell. Reserve removed bread and tops for another use. (See tip.) Place buns on baking sheet. Fill with layers of meat, 1/2 cup of the cheese and the vegetable mixture. Crack 1 egg over filling in each bun; cover with foil.
  • Bake 15 min. or until eggs are set; top with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, 3 min. or until cheese is melted. Let stand 3 min. before serving.

How to Use Leftover Bread

Use the removed bread and bun tops to make fresh bread crumbs. Place in blender, then use pulsing action to form fine crumbs. Use to prepare your favorite meatloaf or meatballs, or mix with melted butter and use as casserole topping.

Either the temp or the time is completely wrong on this recipe. After 20 minutes, the egg was still not cooked. I ended up turning up the heat to 425. and 5 minutes later, it was finally done.

The baking time is not accurate at all. While I love the idea around this recipe, i would not make it again. I ended up taking the bowls and microwaving them to get the egg to set, 15 min covered did not work at all.
