  • Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until onions are tender. Add flour; cook 1 min. or until bubbly, stirring constantly.
  • Stir in milk. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 1 min.
  • Add remaining ingredients. Cook until Velveeta is melted and soup is heated through, stirring occasionally.

How to Thaw Broccoli

For the quickest thaw, place unwrapped frozen broccoli in microwaveable bowl and thaw in microwave as directed on package.

Place onions and butter in 2-qt. microwaveable casserole dish or bowl. Microwave on HIGH 30 sec. to 1 min. or until onions are tender. Stir in flour. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Microwave 6 to 8 min. or until Velveeta is melted and soup is heated through, stirring after 4 min.

    This is delicious! I used part of a bag of california blend and it turned out great. Except I thought it was a little hard to get the flour lumps worked out.

    Although this recipe is extremly easy to make, I must be perfectly honest. We (my family) have tried many of the KRAFT recipes and this is the first one that we have not liked. The Broccoli is very over powering. We tried to add more cheese and even a little garlic to balance out the flavors but it didnt work.

    this is my favorite soup of all kind i love it alot. i always order it at resturants if they have it but when i saw this recipe i was like so excited so i tried it out and it was really good very tasty.
