  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Use pulsing action to process bread into fine crumbs. Add egg, chili powder, oregano and 1/4 cup onions; pulse until blended. Add beans; pulse just until blended.
  • Spoon bean mixture into large bowl. Add meat and corn; mix just until blended. Shape into 1-1/2-inch meatballs; place on foil-covered rimmed baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake 15 to 20 min. or until done (160ºF). Spoon into 2.5-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Combine remaining ingredients, including remaining onions; pour over meatballs. Cover.
  • Bake 30 to 40 min. or until heated through.

Substitute

Prepare using lean ground pork, turkey or chicken.

Spoon into split French or Italian bread buns; top with your favourite Cracker Barrel Shredded Cheese.
