These chocolate-coconut dessert bars are very yummy—and very easy to make. Using on-hand ingredients and 20 minutes of prep time will yield countless compliments!

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Beat butter and sugar in medium bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Gradually add flour, mixing well after each addition. Press onto bottom of prepared pan.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 10 min.
  • Microwave caramels and milk in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.; stir until caramels are completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add coconut; mix well. Spread over crust.
  • Melt chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over dessert. Cool completely.
  • Run knife around edges of pan to loosen dessert. Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into 32 bars.

How to Toast Coconut

Toasting coconut is easy. Just spread coconut evenly in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 7 to 10 min. or until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Or, spread in microwaveable pie plate. Microwave on HIGH 3 min. or until lightly browned, stirring every minute. Watch carefully as coconut can easily burn!

Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
