  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Combine flour, 1/3 cup sugar and baking powder in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Whisk egg and cream in medium bowl until blended. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Stir in chopped chocolate.
  • Knead dough on lightly floured surface until no longer sticky. Place on parchment-covered baking sheet; press into 10-inch round. Score top with sharp knife into 14 wedges. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  • Bake 23 to 25 min. or until scones are golden brown. Cut into 14 wedges. Serve warm.
