  • Heat oven to 325┬║ F.
  • Beat egg whites, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer on low speed 30 sec.; beat 3 to 4 min. on high speed until medium stiff peaks form. Fold in coconut. Drop mixture into 26 rounds, 2-inches apart, onto parchment lined baking sheets.
  • Bake 20 min. or until edges are golden brown; transfer to wire racks immediately; cool completely.
  • Microwave 4 oz. chocolate in small microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM for 2 to 3 min., stirring every min. until chocolate is melted. Dip the bottom of each macaroon into the melted chocolate. Repeat with remaining macaroons. Let stand at room temperature or refrigerate on parchment paper 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.
  • Microwave remaining chocolate in microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM for 2 to 3 min., stirring every min. until chocolate is melted. Drizzle chocolate over macaroons.

Topped Macaroons

Prepare as directed, pressing 1 almond or 1 drained candied cherry onto top of each mound of coconut mixture on baking sheet before baking as directed.
