Made this for my class, we didnt get to eat it because of the snow day, but we had it later on and it was delicious!

I totally changed the recipe to make it a little more Christmas. I used spice cake instead of chocolate and used vanilla pudding mix. I also decreased the cool whip to 1 cup and added about 1 cup of canned pumpkin. It made a bit of extra icing but I just put the extra on and in the cake, it was good, not-too-sweet icing and the pumpkin and cream cheese complimented the spice cake. I will defiantly make this again, I had so many complements and my family still talks about it 2 years later. Thanks for the inspiration. Donna

I was very happy with how this turned out after I made it. The taste is great, but it takes a bit to make but very impressive once it's done.

Frosting was excellent... very creamy and not too sweet... it was also a nice consistency to work with. The cake was okay... very moist but nothing special. I'll certainly make the frosting again but likely not the cake.
