If you don't have buttermilk, use this easy substitution. Add 1-1/2 tsp. Heinz Distilled White Vinegar or lemon juice to measuring cup. Add enough milk to measure 1/2 cup. Let stand 5 min.

This cake was delicious but I would heat the milk with the chocolate because when melted chocolate was added it to cold milk it hardened and didn't mix nicely into the batter. I used a variety of berries and only made it as a single layer. Will make second layer for dessert tomorrow.
