Ratings & Reviews

I used dark chocolate. I served it with a drizzle of raspberry coulis and some whipped cream. Our dinner guests said it was outstanding. The tartness of the raspberries offset the richness of the chocolate to make it a wonderful end to a dinner for friends. It was also very easy to make so I can serve it at home or in the RV when we are travelling

More like a brownie than a pie, but VERY good. I topped it with rich vanilla ice cream and satin sauce

If you like dark chocolate, this is a great recipe. It's not too sweet but has a nice, dense, moist consistency. Great idea to add a hint of cinnamon and chili pepper. yum! Didn't come out super-decadent but more a lovely brownie. Definitely keeping this recipe handy!

I love chocolate, but this was not my thing. I gave it 2 stars because it was moist, but the taste wasn't that great. I much prefer brownies or chocolate cake to this.

Chocoholics beware! This is the absolute chocolate fix. No need for the whip cream. I made truffles to garnish my plates, and then drizzled some chocolate sauce for a finish. It was so rich and moist! Fabulous dessert! Will be making it again and again.

This recipe looks great and by the sounds of it tastes great! as i am writing this comment it is in the oven cooking!! I will rate it again after i have tryed it!!

Delicious. It does need that dollop of cool whip or whip cream though. I found even my unwhipped whip cream was good with it because it just adds a nice balance and moisture because it is so thick and rich.

So decadent! Serves a lot because you only need small peices. Great with Cool Whip or Ice cream on top!!!

Tasty and sinful! I added just a touch of cayenne pepper and cinnamon to the cake when mixing it up...gave it a nice flavour. I skipped the topping, just sprinkled with icing sugar, using a cookie cutter on top to make a neat heart outline on each piece. It also froze well.

Was tasty, and easy, but I think it looks better then it tasted. It was still a hit with my guests though.

I made this twice over the holiday season. It was so good and easy to make!! I made my own whip cream and added a tsp of Baileys to it - everyone loved it.

I made this for a Christmas dessert for my family. It was so easy to make and a hit at the dinner table. I would consider making this in a pan and serving it as squares. Rich and tasty!

Oh my, have made it twice so far and everyone raves about it!! Extremely fast and easy...will definitely make it again.

I agree it was very easy to make but my guests didn't like it at all. We thought it tasted like bitter chocolate.

I loved how easy this recipe is to make. We had it for Christmas Day Dessert. It was very rich and not too sweet. Everyone thought it tasted like a brownie. Would be nice with chocolate sauce to decorate the plate as well.

This was very easy to make, but came out kind of dense and with a bitter-sweet taste to it. It didn't go over well with my company.

I made this for Christmas dinner, and got rave reviews. It was very easy to make!

This wasn't my favourite recipe for a chocolate dessert. I made it for a dinner party and I was very excited about the recipe. I didn't think it was smooth and chocolatey enough; my husband and I thought it was too dry. I did top it with fresh mint-flavoured whip cream which seemed to help. I don't plan on making it again.

It's better with real whipped cream.

Very easy to make, really nice and choclatey, only need a small slice. Loved it!

Even better than I thought it would be! So delcious it was huge hit with everyone.

Easy to make and tastes like a lot of work. Rich, but not very sweet. We served it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of Cool Whip! Excellent!

Quick, easy and delicious!

Oh so delicious... and easy too. Going to be a new favorite in my kitchen for when the chocolate craving inevitably strikes:)

I don't know what went wrong with this recipe but no body liked it. It was too thick.

THis cake was decadent.

All I have to say is YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was amazing.

This was AMAZING!!! So moist & chocolaty! I served it with cool whip & fresh raspberries! YUMMMM!!!

This was very, very good. I found it better after letting it sit overnight in the fridge. That way, it gets more of a 'Truffle' texture as opposed to a 'cake' texture. Wonderful.

it is delicious

its soo good!

very easy to prepare. If it tastes as good as it looks it will be amazing!

I make this every year for Valentine's Day for my husband and I. I cut a heart out of wax paper & centre it on top & dust with icing sugar. Great with vanilla ice cream.

Very, very good but ooh so rich! I used sweetener instead of sugar and found no difference in flavour. A+

Made this for a dinner party last night..didn't get rave reviews..wasn't as chocolaty as I thought it would be but still not bad.

Excellent was a HUGE hit. One pie fed 10 people its rich and only need a small piece, gonna make it again :-)

This truffle recipe is the perfect desert for those Chocolate lovers.

very yummy - it's like a big brownie.

Very good, very rich only need a small piece

Very heavy and very rich...gotta have a sweet tooth.

I made this as soon as I got the email. I thought it was a little heavy. I did add a bit of mint extract and thought for the Holidays that it would be great with the mint extract and crushed peppermint candy canes on top. My kids loved it.

One word sums it up. YUMMMY!

This is so good- I made it for a group of choc-a-holics for dinner tonight and they wanted more of it ... next time I would make two.
