Our impressive Chocolate Truffle Tarts look like they came from a French pastry shop. The tart shells are made from a homemade sweet buttery pastry, then filled with a dark and creamy chocolate truffle mixture. They make the perfect special-occasion dessert.

  • Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour until blended.
  • Place dough on lightly floured surface; knead until smooth. Roll dough into 12 (1-1/2-inch) balls. Press 1 ball of dough onto bottom and halfway up side of each of 12 muffin pan cups sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 30 min.
  • Heat oven to 375°F. Place paper cupcake liner in crust in each muffin cup; fill with dried peas or beans. Bake 20 min. or until edges of crusts are golden brown, carefully removing liners and peas after 15 min. Cool crusts completely.
  • Microwave chocolate and Cool Whip in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended when stirred. Spoon into resealable plastic bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag; use to pipe chocolate mixture evenly into tart shells.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours.

Special Extra

Serve topped with thawed additional Cool Whip Whipped Topping.
