  • Bring all ingredients except onions and chops to boil in saucepan; simmer on medium-low heat 10 min. or until thickened, stirring frequently. Cool completely.
  • Heat barbecue to medium-high heat. Slice 1 onion; reserve for garnish. Finely chop remaining onions; stir into prepared sauce. Reserve half the sauce for later use; brush chops with remaining sauce.
  • Grill chops 5 min. on each side. Brush with half the reserved sauce. Grill 4 min. or until done (160ºF), turning and brushing occasionally with remaining sauce. Transfer to platter. Sprinkle with reserved onions.

Substitute

Substitute liquid honey for the maple syrup.

How to Note

This deliciously sweet sauce also tastes great when brushed onto grilled chicken breasts or pre-baked pork spareribs.
