  • Bring wine, lemon juice and garlic to boil in small saucepan. Remove from heat. Remove garlic with slotted spoon; discard garlic.
  • Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium-low heat. Add flour; cook 4 min., stirring constantly. Gradually add wine mixture, stirring constantly.
  • Add cheese, in small batches, to wine mixture, cooking and stirring constantly after each addition until cheese is completely melted.
  • Bring fondue just to simmer; cook and stir 3 to 4 min. or until thickened.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with crusty bread cubes, favourite cut-up fresh vegetables and cubed cooked potato.


Substitute chicken broth for the wine.

Serve in a warmed fondue pot placed over a low flame.
