  • Heat oil in large saucepan on medium heat. Add yellow onions and green peppers; cook 4 min., stirring frequently. Add garlic, chili powder and crushed pepper; cook and stir 1 min.
  • Add meat; cook 10 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, mash 1/2 cup beans.
  • Add mashed beans to meat mixture along with the remaining beans, tomato juice and ketchup; mix well. Simmer on medium-low heat 30 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Serve topped with sour cream and green onions.

Substitute

Prepare using lean ground turkey or chicken.

Note

For a meatless version, prepare using simulated ground beef.
