I used Krafte Coleslaw dressing instead of Miracle whip and lemon juice, with romaine and pecans. It was outstanding, super for our bbq on the hot summmer evening. Our guests just loved it. I would definitely make this again and again.
I loved this it is so fresh and crunchy and it is a salad that makes you happy, this would be a great picnic salad or a great salad to eat on a hot day and it is very healthy too. I used Pecans and they were nice and crunchy too.
This salad is cold, crunchy and tastes so fresh. It also isn't too sweet which we liked. I tossed the apple mixture with the lettuce as opposed to spooning it on top. I also used Romaine lettuce. Can't wait to make it again!
