  • BROWN meat and onion in frying pan. Drain off fat.
  • STIR in tomato paste, water, oregano, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • LAYER 16 crackers in greased 9-inch (2.5L/23cm) square pan. Cover with half meat mixture.
  • SPRINKLE with half Mozzarella cheese.
  • COMBINE cottage cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese. Spoon half over cheese.
  • LAYER remaining crackers over cottage cheese.
  • SPREAD with remaining cottage cheese, then meat mixture, then remaining Mozzarella cheese.
  • BAKE at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes.
