Dip can be made ahead of time. The lime juice not only adds flavour but it also helps prevent the dip from turning dark as it sits. Another way to help prevent the dip from darkening is to insert the avocado pit in the dip, then cover the dip with plastic wrap, pressing the plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip. Refrigerate up to 2 hours. Remove pit before serving dip.
