  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese product and milk until blended.
  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add onions, garlic and Italian seasoning; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until softened.
  • Drain pasta, reserving 1/3 cup cooking water. Add cream cheese mixture to skillet, along with enough of the reserved water to reach desired sauce consistency. Cook, stirring constantly, on medium heat 2 min. or until sauce is heated through.
  • Add spinach and pasta; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until spinach starts to wilt and pasta mixture is heated through. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favourite Kraft Dressing.

Variation

Omit Italian seasoning, and prepare using Philadelphia Herb & Garlic Cream Cheese Product.

Substitute

For a peppery twist, substitute baby arugula for the spinach.

I have to say I had high hopes for this recipe. It was easy and quick to make and looked amazing. Unfortunately it seems to just be missing something. My husband really didn't like it (perhaps it was too much onion for him) but even I was let down and I have pretty boring tastes. There is some sort of spice missing...italian dressing or something to give it punch. It just fell flat.

I made this last night and it was delicious. I used regular fresh spinach, not the baby leaves, because I find it has more flavour. The cooking crème makes it a very rich dish and you don't need a large portion. This amount served me and my husband quite well, with enough left over for my son's lunch the next day. Very easy and quick to make; perfect for a weeknight dinner or even for company.
