I made this for the 1st time for Christmas dinner dessert and I thin I've made it about 4 times since! I always make individual portions and find it has to broil alot longer than 5 minutes in order to get a crispy crust. I've made it with both regular pudding and with fat free and found the fat free had a weird taste.

Does it matter how deep the mixture is in the baking dish? What depth works best?

next time l would use 2 cups 1/2 & 1/2 cream & 1 cup of milk to make it more creamy.

It is much lower in calories, but the taste is very different than regular. This recipe is tasty though.

It was great! But you had to put a lot of sugar on top. I ate it all.

I originally received this in my magazine and lost it, I nearly did a dance when I found it again on-line. My kids cannot get enough of this and it is so simple to make!!!

Easy to make and tasted pretty good!

Tasted excellent creamy but the brown sugar on top did not brown enough for my liking even after I broiled it twice. Any suggestions. Corinne

I have served this wonderful recipe to dinner guests at least a half dozen times, all to rave reviews. It is fantastic when you have unexpected guests for dinner that you want to impress...I serve it in individual ramekin cups

I poured the pudding in a shallow baking dish so the pudding was not as high. The caramelized sugar gave it a different taste altogether and it actually turned out very nice. Thanks.

this is fantastic and very easy. My family asks for it all the time. I make it in individual cups, looks nicer.

I don't find it cooks all the way down. By the time we got half way through, it was just like eating pudding. Maybe we will try it in smaller cups.

It was a real pleaser. I added fresh berries and cool whip on top with a sprinkling of coco.I also tried it with 1pkg of vanilla and 1 pkg of white chocoloate pudding it tasted creamier. It was also fat free! It was great.

this dessert was a favourite with my family, it was so simple to prepare and so good!

1/2 THE WORK AND ALL THE TASTE (PROBABLY 1/4 OF THE FAT AS PER NORMAL) I EVEN USED LOW FAT PUDDING AND IT WAS GREAT

I added some homemade chokecherry jam to the bottom of mini ramikin dishes before putting the pudding mixture on top. I guess you could use any jam/jelly you wanted for a neat twist on this great (and easy) recipe!

Excellent quick dessert comparable to genuine Crème Brulée. Chilled pudding in individual ramekins for an hour+ before doing the sugar topping. Very easy!

I made it in mini ramekins. They looked great but were really runny.
