  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Combine flours, sugar and baking powder in large bowl. Add beer, then cheese; stirring after each just until blended. (Batter will be lumpy. Do not overmix.)
  • Pour into 9x5-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray; drizzle with butter.
  • Bake 35 to 40 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool bread in pan 10 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.

Special Extra

For added colour and flavour, stir 2 chopped green onions and 1/4 cup Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Bits into prepared batter before pouring into prepared pan and baking as directed.

How to Freeze Quick Breads

To freeze quick breads, wrap cooled bread loaves individually in heavy-duty foil. Or, place in freezer-weight resealable plastic bags. Freeze up to 3 months before serving.
