  • Brown crumbled sausage with mushrooms and onion in oil in medium pot over medium-high heat.
  • Stir in broth, rice, oregano and water. Bring to boil. Cover, simmer over low heat 20 to 25 min. Stir in parmesan just before serving.

Special Extra

Add 1/3 cup dry white wine with the broth in step 2.

    This was good. I was a little worried about the oregano for seasoning, but it worked! My daughter(who dislikes mostly everything) enjoyed 2 servings of this. I will definitely make it again.

    I loved this recipe, although I did add shrimp and broccoli, and used spicy sausage. I found it to be awesome comfort food, and a great base recipe that could be changed to suit on hand ingredients.
