  • Remove casings from sausage, if necessary. Crumble sausage into large saucepan; cook on medium heat 5 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently. Add dressing and onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until onions are tender.
  • Add broth and water; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 25 min., adding pasta after 10 min.
  • Stir in spinach and cheese; cook 1 min. or just until spinach is wilted. Serve topped with croutons.

Special Extra

Garnish each serving with chopped fresh parsley.


Substitute any other small pasta shape, such as small shells or elbow macaroni, for the ditalini.
