  • Cook bacon in large nonstick skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings from skillet.
  • Add onions and peppers to reserved drippings; cook and stir 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Stir in beans and pasta sauce.
  • Add water to pasta sauce jar; cover and shake well to remove any pasta sauce remaining in jar. Add to pasta sauce mixture in skillet; mix well. Bring to boil, stirring frequently; simmer on medium-low heat 4 min., stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  • Crumble bacon. Add to pasta sauce mixture along with the cheese and parsley flakes; mix well.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with hot cooked rice or pasta.


Substitute chickpeas (garbanzo beans) for the kidney beans.
