  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, cook and stir bacon in large deep skillet on medium heat until crisp, stirring frequently. Use slotted spoon to remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towels. Discard half the bacon drippings from skillet.
  • Add Swiss chard and 1/4 cup water to remaining bacon drippings in skillet; stir. Cover; cook 3 to 5 min. or just until Swiss chard is wilted. Add pasta sauce and bacon; mix lightly. Add remaining water to pasta sauce jar, cover with lid, then shake to remove any sauce remaining in jar. Add to ingredients in skillet; stir. Simmer, uncovered, on medium-low heat 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring constantly.
  • Drain pasta. Add to pasta sauce mixture in skillet; mix lightly. Simmer 2 min., stirring frequently. Sprinkle with cheese.


Substitute 4 cups loosely packed fresh spinach for the Swiss chard.
