  • Heat dressing in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add chicken and onions; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Add tomatoes, broth, water, peas and carrots; stir. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 8 min. or until chicken is cooked through and onions are tender. Meanwhile, preheat broiler.
  • Ladle soup into four ovenproof serving bowls; top with cheese. Broil, 6 inches from heat source, 2 to 3 min. or until cheese is melted.

Special Extra

Top with crushed tortilla chips, crackers or croutons.


Substitute whatever canned vegetables you have on hand, such as cut green beans or whole kernel corn, for the peas and carrots.

    This soup was so tasty & easy to make. I doubled the recipe & it turned out great. It was even better the next day.

    This was absolutely delicious! I used garlic powder, salt and pepper when cooking the chicken, and added half a package of taco seasoning. I substituted corn for peas and carrots and topped with cheese - SO GOOD! Will make this over and over and over again!

    I really liked this soup. Very easy to make, I also used Taco seasoning, about half a package. Next time I would consider using a bit more seasoning, but I will definetly make this again.
