  • Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides.
  • Prepare cake better and bake in prepared pan as directed on package. Cool completely in pan. Use foil handles to transfer cake to platter; remove foil.
  • Combine remaining ingredients; spread over top of cake.

How to Test for Doneness

To prevent overbaking, check cake at the minimum baking time indicated in recipe. Insert a toothpick in centre of cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. If it does not come out clean, return to the oven for a few additional minutes before rechecking.
