Pork tenderloin is marinated in teriyaki sauce and lemon juice, then grilled and glazed with a flavourful teriyaki-pineapple sauce.

  • Make lengthwise cut in one long side of each tenderloin, being careful not to cut through to opposite side. Open each tenderloin like a book; place, cut sides down, in shallow dish. Mix 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce and lemon juice until blended; brush onto meat.
  • Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.
  • Heat greased barbecue to medium heat. Mix remaining teriyaki sauce with all remaining ingredients except onions in saucepan until blended. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min. or until thickened, stirring frequently.
  • Remove meat from marinade; discard marinade. Grill meat 5 min. on each side. Brush with half the ketchup mixture. Grill 5 min. or until meat is done, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining ketchup mixture.
  • Transfer meat to cutting board; cut into thick slices. Place on platter; sprinkle with onions.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with roasted potatoes.

Use Your Broiler

Marinate meat as directed. Heat broiler. Place meat on foil-covered baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 5 min. on each side. Brush with half the ketchup mixture. Broil 5 min. or until meat is done, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining ketchup mixture.

Substitute

Substitute lime or orange juice for the lemon juice.
