  • Preheat barbecue to medium heat. Spray large sheet of heavy-duty foil generously with cooking spray; set aside. Mix dressing and garlic.
  • Place potatoes in centre of foil; top with onions. Drizzle with half of the dressing mixture. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and both ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside.
  • Grill 30 min. Carefully open foil packet; turn potatoes over. Grill, in opened packet, an additional 5 min. or until potatoes are tender. Spoon into serving dish; drizzle with the remaining dressing mixture.

Jazz It Up

Sprinkle with sliced green onions or chopped fresh chives.

Creative Leftovers

Cover and refrigerate any leftovers. Mix with chopped green and red peppers, sliced green onions and chopped pickles, then refrigerate until ready to serve for a delicious potato salad.

To cut grilling time in half, microwave the potato halves on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 min. before using as directed.

Such a great recipe! The potatoes cooked very nicely with the ranch dressing. The dressing made the potatoes very succulent. I'm not a huge fan of the consistency and taste of potatoes but the ranch dressing is a very lovely pairing with the potatoes. I also added about half a small onion and three green onion sprouts and some fresh basil to the potatoes and it's added nice depth to the flavours of the potatoes. I've used this recipe about 5 times so far and it's been a hit with the different parties.

I baked the potatoes in a toaster oven for about 50 minutes. The last 10 minutes with the foil peeled back give some colour as well as a bit of crispness. Mmmmm good.
