I think that you are missing liquid if you wish to fill six bowls

I love to make this one. It is a favourite of both my daughter and I. I see that several people have noted that they needed to add more milk and cheese, I do too because I tend to cook more potatoes than the recipe calls for. I also saute white onions to add and always throw in some carrots too. I like to use Kraft Velveeta for a richer taste instead of cheese whiz. Always a hit with biscuits or cornbread muffins on the side.

So easy and delicious! Needed to add a bit extra milk and cheese whiz though.

Extremely quick and easy to make. I added substantially more milk and cheez whiz than suggested.

Needs more juice and seasoning

Great way to use up left over ham. Fast and delicious (although needs more milk and therefore more Cheezwhiz than recipe calls for). And unlike some soups that are better when they sit around for a day or two, this one is great the minute it's ready.

Fast and Easy Great with cheddar biscuits

04/10/2007

I substituted grated cheddar mixed with a tablespoon of flour for the Cheez Whiz and left the water on the potatoes. It was delicious! I served it with buttermilk biscuits, yum!

My family loved this chowder. It was so easy to make and great for using things you already have around.

This recipe was a simple and quick meal that tasted great. For those of you who are on weight watchers flexpoints, based on the nutrional breakdown 1 cup = 4 points!

Very delicious and easy..try it with light Cheez whiz and skim milk for a lower calorie version!

I was very pleased at how simple and tasty this was. I used the suggestion to cook the potatoes in chicken stock(about 1 1/2 cups), otherwise I followed the recipe as stated.

04/05/2005

The combination of ham and corn was delicious...I also added cauliflauer, carrots and celery which tasted really good. The cheese whiz was way too strong of a taste for soup though. May make a better appetizer soup than actual lunch or supper soup, as it is pretty potent.

Wonderful recipe - I like my chowder creamy, though, so I pureed half of the potatoes (and then added water as needed, to get the consistency I like). This is a great way to use up leftover veggies - I am a vegetarian, so I omitted the ham, and made a creamy cheese and veggie chowder by putting in my leftover veggies, rather than ham. I also pureed some cottage cheese in with the potatoes, which turned this into a superb Creamy Cheese and Veggie Chowder!

Excellent. I cooked the potatoes in a can of chicken broth then added the other ingredients and heated through. Mmmmmmmm

The best dinner recipe I've made so far, and so easy. Leftover veggies and ham from last night's dinner go in a pot with some milk and Cheez Whiz, and in 15 minutes you've got a tasty hearty meal!

02/07/2005

Not enough liquid, I added 1 can of chicken broth (undiluted). It was ready in less than 30 minutes. Easy weekday dinner, very good.

If you never have tried corn chowder try this recipe, the aroma and flavor of this soup will make it a regular addition to any supper.
