  • GREASE 12 large muffin tins or line with paper baking cups.
  • MIX flours, chopped hazelnuts, brown sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
  • WHISK together milk, egg and butter.
  • MIX hazelnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon for topping.
  • STIR liquid mixture into dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into muffin cups, filling each to the top. Sprinkle topping mixture over each, pressing lightly into batter.
  • BAKE at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes or until firm to the touch. Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove muffins and cool on rack. Store in airtight container.
