I agree with cook. Not truly home-baked if you're starting off with a box of KD sorry.
I do not believe that any home-baked macaroni & cheese recipe should begin with Kraft dinner.
I added a large can of salmon and some peppers and zucchini to this to give us a well rounded meal. It was excellent and I WILL make it again.
