  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Brown crumbled sausage and leeks in oil in frypan over medium-high heat. Drain fat.
  • Stir in broth and basil. Bring to boil. Simmer over medium heat, uncovered, 10 minutes.
  • Add red pepper and sour cream. Heat through. Toss with cheese and cooked pasta. Top with parsley if desired.

    different flavour - I enjoyed this recipe and so did my husband - we used spaghetti instead of fusili - very yummy :)

    Delicious. I used caribou sausage and added italian seasoning along with drained diced tomatoes and onion instead of the leeks. Makes for a healthy meal when using whole wheat pasta.

    Great recipe! I made a variation on this last night - using spinach instead of leeks, and also adding tomato sauce with water in place of the beef broth. It was delicious, hearty, and my guy even went back for thirds! Thanks for another tasty supper :)
