Our one-pot pasta really uses just one pot! The pasta cooks in the chunky sauce of Italian sausage, peppers and onions and gets topped off with a combination of cheeses. This Speedy One Pot Pasta & Cheese is the ideal solution to supper.

  • COOK sausages in large saucepan or pot. Drain excess fat from pot. Remove sausages and cut into chunks; return to pot.
  • STIR in pasta sauce and water. Bring to boil. Add pasta and return to boil.
  • REDUCE heat to medium-low and cover. Cook for 10 minutes and add vegetables. Continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
  • STIR in Parmesan cheese and shredded cheese. Top with additional shredded cheese.


Use ground beef instead of sausage.


To make ahead, let cool until it is room temperature and then freeze for up to 3 months.

    I was looking for something quick to make and this fit the bill!! Even my youngest son who is a picky eater and not a fan of sausages enjoyed this, sausages and all!! I didn't have the veggies on hand but next time I would do up the veggies for myself and add them in. Thanks for an easy recipe that is sure to become a family favorite!!
