  • Mix mayo, lime juice, hot pepper sauce and salt until well blended; set aside.
  • Cook corn in large skillet on medium-high heat until lightly browned, stirring frequently.
  • Toss corn with the cabbage, onions, chilies and bacon bits in large bowl. Add mayo mixture; mix lightly. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

Substitute

Substitute frozen corn for the fresh corn -- no need to thaw before using.

Variation

For a mild-flavoured slaw, omit the hot pepper sauce and serrano chilies.
