We kept all the fresh flavour and creamy texture of a classic key lime pie but with a savings of 280 calories and 14g of total fat, including 10.5g of saturated fat, per serving by making the crust with graham crumbs and non-hydrogenated margarine instead of with flaked coconut, sugar and butter. In addition, we also replaced the eggs and condensed milk in the filling with Jell-0 No Sugar Added Lime Jelly Powder and Cool Whip Light Whipped Topping.

Great recipe. My husband has just been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and he is a great desert lover. This recipe certainly agreed with him and it is soooo easy to make. Keeps we;; and also freezes well.
Family Favorite!! I make it with oreo crumb crust. I made it once without the grated lime peel - never again! Didn't think it would be missed but it actually had a big impact. Will always make sure to have a lime on hand when making this! Nice finish for any type of meal, and it makes a great snack...if there is any left over!
