Substitute 3 undrained 85-g cans chopped clams for the fresh clams. Prepare recipe as directed, adding clams to cooked garlic in skillet along with the pasta sauce and half the parsley; cook 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook pasta and continue as directed.
Discard any clams with chipped or cracked shells. Gently tap any clams with open shells; discard clams that do not close their shells. Scrub remaining clams; place in large bowl. Add enough water to completely cover clams. Let stand 30 min. to remove sand from inside shells. Remove clams from water, then cook as directed.
