  • Beat cream cheese product, eggs and syrup in medium bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually add milk, mixing well after each addition.
  • Toss bread cubes with pears and bacon bits in large bowl. Add 1/2 cup egg mixture; mix lightly. Spoon into 12 muffin pan cups sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining egg mixture.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • Heat oven to 350°F. Bake muffins 15 to 20 min. or until toothpick inserted in centres comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; sprinkle with sugar. Serve warm.

Substitute

Prepare using Philadelphia Cream Cheese Product, and adding 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon to the cream cheese/egg mixture along with the milk.

Substitute

Substitute a Granny Smith apple for the pear.

Note

For added convenience, this easy-to-make muffin batter can be refrigerated up to 24 hours before using to bake muffins as directed.
