To prepare as a casserole, cut each bread slice diagonally in half before soaking in egg mixture. Arrange, in overlapping rows, in baking dish; cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, bake, covered, 50 min. or until centre is set and top is lightly browned, uncovering after 30 min. Cut into squares to serve.
