  • Remove any tough root pieces from wood ear; discard. Break wood ear into bite-size pieces.
  • Bring 2 cups cold water and wood ear to boil in saucepan; cook 2 min. Drain; cool.
  • Combine wood ear and oranges; place in 4 dessert glasses. Add boiling water to jelly powder in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add remaining cold water; stir. Pour over wood ear mixture. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Top with Cool Whip just before serving.

Substitute

Prepare using your favourite flavour of Jell-O Jelly Powder.

Soak wood ear pieces in water 30 min. to hydrate.
